REGIONAL: Husband and wife visitors collapse and die on Carriacou beach
Two visitors to the island of Carriacou were reportedly found dead on the beach over the weekend.
On Saturday 9th March 2024, the bodies of David John Foster, 76 years, Retiree of the United Kingdom and Rosaline Foster, 77 years old, also of the United Kingdom, was found on L’Esterre Paradise Beach, Carriacou.
David pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor while Rosaline was taken to Princess Royal Hospital, where she was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
Reports are that the husband collapsed first and his wife, in an attempt to assist him, also collapsed.
Police investigation continues into the matter. A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
