Thinking ahead to 2015… Pt 2

As we head into the new year, thinking about those resolutions we spoke of last week, I had a revelation I wanted to share with you.

Many resolutions are based on restricting ourselves somehow. Now, don’t get me wrong; I am not saying that it is a bad thing to try an exercise in discipline now and then. However, perhaps a new approach can be just as effective, right? Maybe for a change it would be interesting to try to ADD something rather than take away something in our lives.{{more}}

So, I challenge you to find something to ADD to your life that will make you healthier and stronger for 2015 (and beyond!). Exercise would probably be the easiest thing to think of broadly, but several other things come to mind when I think about adding positive changes.

How about adding 15 minutes of reflective time, praying, meditating or simply trying reflect on your day? How about adding one extra serving of vegetables each day? How about adding more family time? A leisure activity like reading or playing music? All of those can make life better, reduce stress in some cases and in the end make you healthier. It is not always about taking medication, although that is very important if it is needed for your health. There are many aspects of life that impact your health.

Here comes 2015, my fellow Vincies! Get ready for a great year!
