Archers compete in Vincy 900 shoot
Saturday, February 28, 2026, marked a new chapter for the Archery Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines, with the staging of the first ever VINCY 900 SHOOT.
Staged the West St George Secondary School’s ground, the event saw the archers shooting 30 arrows from three different distances, a total of 90 arrows and a possible maximum score of 900.
The event was broken into three separate categories, mixed gender classes based on experience levels.
Winning Class A was Judah Cambridge, ahead of Matthew Joachim and Jordan Seaman in that order. Class A archers, who were newcomers, shot from 10-meter, 15-m and 20-m distances.
Shooting from 20-m, 30-m, and 40-m, were the beginners. Leading the pack was Adrian Parris, with Nicholas Deane second, and third was Arush Ballapalli.
Richol Richards took Class C. Second was Rayon Clarke, and third was Marese Burgin. Class C archers shot from 40-m, 50-m and 60-m.
Archers can look forward to a similar event later this year.
