SVG Football Federation promotes its social mandate with the LLBTC
The executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF), continues to show its social responsibilities by donating 20 season passes to the Liberty Lodge Boys Training Centre (LLBTC), for the CONCACAF Under-17 Qualifiers.
The passes to the institution meant that the boys as well as management and caregivers were able to attend the February 5 to 10, 2026 matches at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
Hence, they were able to witness first-hand games involving the Dominican Republic, St Kitts and Nevis, the USA and St Vincent and the Grenadines in Group E play.
The SVGFF’s initiative came in for a high note of praise from Janeil George, who is attached to the LLBTC, as a Social Worker.
“We are thankful to the Football Federation to consider the boys. This would definitely be a motivation for then keep involved in the sporting activity, see this as a steppingstone towards possibly having a future in Football,” she stated after gleefully accepting the package of tickets.
“We know the environment where some of them have come from, so getting involved in sports helps to distract them… give them a positive outlook on life and just to keep them, despite their circumstances,” George indicated.
The LLBTC was set up in the late 1960s, aimed at resetting the lives of boys mainly 7 to 16 years, who found difficulty conforming to some of the norms of society, or who had behavioural, parental, emotional or social challenges.
