Archery Association stages National Outdoor Championships

THE ARCHERY Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), held its third National Outdoor Championships, last Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the National Archery Range, Belair.

Day one, Saturday, saw the 17 competitors going through their paces for qualification spots.

Then came the real deal on Sunday, as they went toe-to-toe to gain the title winners of the five categories being adjudicated.

When the points were counted, it was Daijon Chance who topped the Barebow Extraordinary Beginners 15m category. Second to Chance was Rhea Mofford.

In the Barebow Mixed 30m category, the top archer was Prince John, with Teneka Baptiste placing second, and Kristopher Simmons, third.

Taking the Recurve Male Beginners 30m, was Tristan Ballah, ahead Dimetre Hadley and D’andre Hadley, in that order.

Meanwhile, Marese Burgin took gold; Divya Jiandani, silver; and Richol Richards, bronze; in the Recurve Women’s 50m segment.

Rayon Clarke trumped the Recurve Male Development 50m segment. Second to Clarke was Ian Gibson.
