TBPO Softball Cricket 2025 ends this Sunday

THE GRAND FINALS of the 2025 National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition is set for this Sunday, August 24, at the Dauphine Playing Field.

The final game, set to bowl off at 2:00 p.m, will be preceded by the third place play off slated to commence at 11:30 a.m.

However, the finalists will be decided on Saturday, August, 23, when defending champions, Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble faces Sion Hill Tallawahs from 1:00 p.m; then from 3:00 p.m, Fairbaine United takes on Kombat Warriors.

The four semi-finalists emerged following their triumphs last Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17,2025.

First up on Saturday, Kombat Warriors registered a narrow 9 run win over Bank of SVG All Stars.

Kombat Warriors posted 144 for 8 in 17 overs, after the match bowled off late. Romano Pierre scored 70, and Kamari Browne, 23.

Bowling for All Stars, Kelique Samuel picked up 5 for 7, and Kelly Murray, 2 for 22, but All Stars’ reply stopped at 135 for 9 in 17 overs.

Kody Horne struck 51, and Othniel Lewis 20.

Romano Pierre 3 for 27, Donaldson Harry, 2 for 22, and Kerwin Brown, 2 for 24, were among the wicket takers for Kombat Warriors.

Then, Sion Hill Tallawahs won by 18 runs from Young Stallions.

Tallawahs made 155 for 6 in 17 overs, with Sealroy Williams, 41, Sealron Williams, 25, and Denson Hoyte, 24.

Bowling forYoung Stallions, Kentish Phillips had 3 for 24.

Young Stallions’ batters were unable to get past the 156 required; they got to 135 for 9 in 17 overs.

Bradley Richards, 39, and Raje Questelles, 24 not out, were the main contributors.

Bowling for Sion Hill Tallawahs, Alex Roberts and Denson Hoyte, each took 2 for 24, and Shamic Roberts had 2 for 30.

On Sunday, Out Ah Trouble had a comfortable 8 wicket win over Greiggs Young Stars.

Derren John top scored with 27 in GreiggsYoung Stars’ 103 all out from 18 overs.

They were destroyed by Asif Hooper, who bagged 6 for 27.

Out Ah Trouble on the back of Richie Richards’ 66 not out, rushed to 105 for 2 from 9.4 overs.

And Fairbaine United ousted Dr Thomas Injectors by 9 wickets in Sunday’s second match.

Dr Thomas Injectors made a paltry 44 all out in 17.3 overs, as Kegan Cordice returned figures of 3 for 10, Dwayne Williams, 2 for no run, and Javin Liverpool, 2 for 13.

In response, Fairbaine United made 45 for 1; Jeremy Haywood scoring 21, and Andrew Glasgow, 19 not out.
