Football Federation represented at Concacaf Youth Football Summit

Technical Director of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF), Theon Gordon represented SVG at the fourth Concacaf Youth Football Summit held in Curacao from August, 6 to 8, 2025.

The event, which was hosted in partnership with UEFAs ‘Together’ initiative brought together technical leaders, national youth coaches, and development experts from all 41 Concacaf Member Associations to exchange strategies and shape the future of elite youth football, a Federation release states.

This year’s theme ‘Bridging Potential and Performance Pathways to Excellence’ explored key areas including talent identification, high-performance environments, the growth of women’s football, and innovation in football through technology and data.

“This is an opportunity to learn from the best football development models in the world and to adapt them to the realities of St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Gordon is quoted in the release as stating. “Our focus is on building sustainable pathways that develop talented players and strengthen our grassroots amateur and elite football.”

The SVGFF said insights from the summit will guide its Youth Development Strategy, with particular emphasis on the FIFA Talent Development Scheme TDS, the Under-13 to Under-15 elite programme, and the integration of grassroots and high-performance systems.
