Tier II Football Finals reset to this Saturday

A request by clubs for a deferral of the third place play off and finals of Tier II in the 2024/2025 St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation’s National Club Championships, has been granted.

Thus, the tournament’s committee of the championships decided to host the conclusion of the division this Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Brighton Playing Field.

The play off and the title match were previously set for last Sunday, July 20, at the same venue.

However, from 6:00 p.m, this Saturday, losing semi-finalists Owia United, and Volcanoes will meet to determine the third and fourth places; and from 8:00 p.m, System Three meets Bequia United in the championship encounter.

When the semi-finals took place on Friday, July 18, System Three defeated Owia United 2-1.

Azhino Solomon,1, and an own goal gave System Three the hard-fought win. Owia United’s goal came from De Nelsen Nero.

Then came a goal fest when Bequia United defeated Volcanoes 5-3 in a riveting show down.

Bequia United led by their talisman and captain, Mark Browne, who hit a hat trick, and one goal each from Javier Friday and Jamya Shade, ensured United stayed ahead of their opponents.

Volcanoes’ goals came from Je Quan Adams who netted a brace, and Khamal Richardson, scored the other.

By virtue of reaching the final of Tier II, System Three and Volcanoes will be promoted to the Premier Division of the 2025/2026 National Club Championships.

They will replace the relegated SV United and Sion Hill.
