Jayden George continues to rule regional Junior Squash

Jayden George is not called “general” around the Vincentian Squash circuit idly.

He demonstrated his local status last Tuesday, July 1, with a five- star performance at the 2025 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association(CASA) Championships, at the South Sound Squash Club in the Cayman Islands.

For the fifth successive time, George was crowned champion, when he saw off Charlie Makin of the

Cayman Islands, 11-4, 11-9, 11-3, to win the Boys Under-17 title.

In his first year in that age group, George blew away the field, affirming his number one seed going into the championships.

He first disposed of Rocco Adderley of Bermuda, 11-1, 11-7, 11-2, in the second round after gaining a bye.

George then saw off Ethan Miller of Jamaica 11-5, 11-9, 11-4; and outlasted Bermuda’s Owen Rosorea 11-3, 11-1, 11-4 in the semi-finals.

Currently Vincent and the Grenadines’ current top Junior Squash player, George won his first CASA title in 2019, when he won the Under-11.

With no championships held in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, George in 2022, won the Under-13 age group.

Moving up to the Under-15s in 2023, George showed his prowess by winning the title on home soil, and repeated the feat last year in the British Virgin Islands.
