Vincy Heat melts Sugar Boyz in international friendly
STVINCENT AND the Grenadines’ senior men’s outfit, Vincy Heat extended their success in recent friendly internationals, with a 3-1 win away to St Kitts and Nevis’ Sugar Boyz, last Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
Facing the Kittians at the Samuel Williams Sporting Complex in Verchilds, St Vincent and the Grenadines took the lead as early as the 8th minute via an Ahzino Solomon strike. The host responded three minutes later when Gvaune Amory made it 1-1.
But second half goals from Kirtney Franklyn in the 72nd minute and substitute, Malcolm Stewart in the 79th, sealed the contest in favour of Vincy Heat.
The Vincentians will be looking to maintain their command against the Kittians when the two teams meet again this Sunday, May, 25, in the reciprocal visit at the Chili Playing Field. The match starts at 3:00 p.m.
Vincy Heat will then host the British Virgin Islands on May, 29, under the lights at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, from 7:00 p.m.
These matches are precursors to Vincy Heat’s two remaining matches in Group F of the World Cup Qualifiers.
A date with Anguilla at the Arnos Vale Playing Field on June 4, from 7:00 p.m will be the big test on home soil before Vincy Heat faces Puerto Rico on June 10, 2025, in Puerto Rico.
