Table Tennis champions looking for a repeat

Several players will be looking to be repeat title holders when the 2024 St Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association National Championships conclude tomorrow, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the West St George Secondary School’s Auditorium.

Among them is Loukhya Premraj, who defends her Under-13 and Under-15 Girls titles. Premraj, the 2023 champion, will face off against Kiara Michael in both title deciders.

Premray is also in the Under-19 final, where she will square off with Leah Cumberbatch, as a new winner will be crowned. Shanecia Delpesche triumphed in 2023.

Likewise, Oran- Jay Williams , who scalped the Under-13 Boys title last year, comes up against Keron Huggins in the 2024 final.

Meanwhile, Lamont Gregg faces off Michalie Hazelwood in the Boys Under-15. Gregg is the defending champion.

Gregg will have another crack at being crowned double champion when he faces reigning champion, Caleb Howard in the Under-19 age group.

Also, in line to defend is the JD’s Table Tennis Club, which will play the Spencer’s Table Tennis Club One in the teams’ final.

En route to the final, JD’s defeated Sean Stanley Table Tennis Academy(SSTTA) 3-1.

Joshua Simmons had an 11/8, 11/3 win over Akeil De Roche, to give the SSTTA, its solitary game.

In the other half, Spencer’s Table Tennis Club One, trounced Spencer Table Tennis Club Two, 3-0.

Romano Spencer beat Lamont Gregg 11/7, 11/6; Tykel Pierre outsed Macahlie Hazelwood 8/11, 11/6,
