SVG Special Olympics team in regional Bocce Competition

Special Olympics St Vincent and the Grenadines is part of an inaugural Bocce competition that is taking place in the Cayman Islands.

The competition which opened on May 23, and closes tomorrow, Saturday May 25, 2024, is being held at the Lion Community Centre, Georgetown, on Grand Cayman.

Representing St Vincent and the Grenadines are athletes, Natasha Doyle and Utica Smith, with Helen Ashton as head coach and Sezevra Joseph, chair of Special Olympics SVG.

Both Doyle and Smith are no strangers to international competition as they have been representing St Vincent and the Grenadines at Bocce and Tennis, for close to two decades.

As recently as 2023, they were part of the Vincentian outfit that competed at the Special Olympics in Berlin, Germany.
