Football Federation mourns the death of Justin Douglas

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVFF), has issued a release expressing sadness on the death of sportscaster, Justin Douglas.

“It is with heavy hearts that the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) mourns the passing of Justin Douglas, a beloved sports announcer and host of the “Let’s Talk Sports” program on Nice Radio,” the Federation said in its release dated April 16, 2024. Douglas, described by the Federation as “a vibrant voice in our nation’s sports community” passed away on April 13, 2024, “leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished”.

Throughout his tenure as a sports announcer, Justin Douglas brought an unparalleled passion and dedication to his craft. His insightful commentary, infectious enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to uplifting the local sports scene made him a beloved figure among listeners and the wider sports community, added the release signed by Federation president, Otashie Spring.

The football body has extended deepest condolences to Douglas’s family and friends and noted that “his contributions to the sports community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. We stand in solidarity with all those who have been touched by his kindness, passion, and dedication.

In honouring the memory of Justin Douglas, the SVGFF reaffirms its commitment to fostering the growth of football in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We will continue to uphold the values that he exemplified and work tirelessly to ensure his legacy endures for generations”.
