The Georges bag another four Squash titles

Caeli George won the Girls Under-13 and Under- 15 titles; Jayden George, the Boys Under-15; and Ciara George, the Girls Under-17, in the 2024 Tus- T Water St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association’s National Junior Squash Championships, held April 4 to 6 at the National Squash Centre, Paul’s Avenue.

The George trio thus, together, took four titles as they did in 2023.

Caeli, the youngest of the siblings, held on to her Under-13 title, whilst adding the Under-15 accolade, taking over from the eldest, Ciara, who won that category last year.

Ciara though, scalped the Girls Under-17, while Jayden retained his Boys Under-15 title.

In the round robin format of the championships, Caeli defeated Amiyah Bascombe, 11-1, 11-5, 11-4; and Caeli Samuel, 11-2, 11-0, 11-0; while in the Under-15, she got past Naira- Skye John, 11-3, 11-5, 11-6, and Natalia Olton, 11-2, 11-2, 11-5.

It was also straight set victories for Ciara who registered a 11-5, 11-2, 11-0 triumph over Niara-Syke John and Zoe Martin, 11-5, 11-4, 11-4.

Rounding up the titles, Jayden had his way, as he outscored Deron Lewis, 11-1, 11-1, 11-3; Raejon

Dover, 11-1, 11-2, 11-1; Aiden De Freitas, 11-3, 11-2, 11-7; and J’ Quan Stephens, 11-1, 11-0, 11-0.

Meanwhile, Ciara got an added boost, as she was adjudged the Most Outstanding Female Player, sharing the spotlight with Aiden De Freitas, who was named the Most Outstanding Male Player.
