Archery Association of SVG spins out with Ranking Tournament

The Archery Association of St Vincent and the Grenadines (AASVG) served off the 2024 archery season with their first ranking tournament at the Dolphins Gymnastics Centre, Arnos Vale.

The two day tournament took place on Saturday February 24, and Sunday February, 25.

Saturday’s activities were geared towards the 19 archers finding their range for qualification.

Winners- from left- Richol Richards, Divya Jiandani, Joel Bascombe

Then on Sunday, things got heated as the elimination phase kicked in, and titles were decided.

Winning the 50m range was Divya Jiandani . She beat Jared Nichols into second place; collecting the bronze was Richol Richards.

In the 30m category, copping the gold medal was Rayon Clarke, second was Quincy Primus and third, Marese Burgin.

And, Joel Bascombe came out on top in the 20m category. Naga Devendra was second, and Teneka

Baptiste third.

The ranking tournament is one of many activities that the AASVG has planned for 2024.
