X-Ceed makes it three in a row in national Fast 5 titles

The X-Ceed Sports Club made it three national Fast 5 Netball titles in a row last Friday November 24, 2023, when they defeated National Properties Netters 46-13 in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association National Fast 5 Netball Championship Division One female finals at the Kingstown Netball Centre.

Following the female finals were the Male Division finals which saw AM Shotters taking the male title by defeating Jaguars 33 – 27, in a highly charged game of fast paced netball.

President of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association Natasha Baptiste told SEARCHLIGHT the overall standard of the competition was good, adding “I believe that the clubs and teams are beginning to understand this version of the game a bit more, but there is still room for improvement.

“Some of the coaches of the team need to further educate themselves on this version so that their players can execute better. The clubs and teams may want to identify those members of their setup who can give them the best results for this version. Strategy is key and that’s where understanding of the rules comes into play.”

Following the matches was the prize-giving ceremony, compliments of the St Vincent Building Loan Association.
