SVG sets off for Pan American Games

Two of the four members who comprise the St Vincent and the Grenadines team to the XIX Pan American Games in Chile left the state on Wednesday October 18, for the South American continent.

The swim duo of Nikolas Sylvester and Kennice Greene, along with coach Kyle Dougan, are the first group to head out for the October 20 to November 5 multi-sport Games.

Sylvester will swim in the Men’s 50 m Freestyle, the 100 m Breaststroke and the 200 m Individual

Medley, while Greene is down for the Women’s 50 m and 100 m Freestyle, as well as the 100 m Butterfly. They will compete from October 21 to 24.

Meanwhile, Scarlett Hadley and her coach Jenny Trumble leave this weekend. Hadley is the lone Vincentian entrant in the sport of Sailing. That discipline is set for competition, October 4 and 5.

And, Darren Jeffers- Morgan and his coach Chester Morgan will jet off early next week. Jeffers

Morgan runs the 100 m as Athletics takes place October 30 to November 4.
