North Leeward Sports and Culture Organisation elects new president
The North Leeward Sports and Culture Organisation has a new President. Elron Lewis was elected on September 21 at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting at the Petit Bordel Secondary School.
Lewis, who served as Vice President of the previous executive, amassed 33 votes to Nickisha Douglas’s 3 and John Williams’s 2.
Nadichia Browne is the Vice President. She garnered 25 votes, to Rickel Browne’s 8 and Dennis Samuel’s 7.
Kennica Thompson was unopposed as Secretary, likewise Desia Murray, the Assistant Secretary.
Dwight Roberts will continue as treasurer, with John Williams, his assistant.
Dennis Samuel was elected unopposed as Games Secretary, while Kelvin Horne also continues as Public Relations Officer.
Kesrick Williams, Romique Hooper and Shanel Mc Kie are the Committee Members.
Lewis told SEARCHLIGHT that part of his organisation’s overall plan is to have a number of the dormant sporting disciplines and cultural activities in the North Leeward area revived.
At present, the NLSCO hosts Football and Cricket competitions and oversees Carnival activities in North Leeward.
