National Cycling Championships ride off this weekend

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union will this weekend host its 2023 National Properties National Cycling Championships.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 17, the first of the two-stage event, will see the Time Trial from the vicinity of the Koscab Building, Arnos Vale to Belvedere.

The Time Trial, which covers a distance of 3.8 miles, will be contested among Junior, Masters and Elite cyclists. It is expected to commence at 6:00 a.m.

Then, on Sunday, June 18, a 100- mile road race will be the undertaking for those in the Elite category, while the Masters do 50-miles.

All cyclists will ride off at the tarmac of the ET Joshua Airport from noon, and will journey to Orange Hill.

They will return via the same route, with the Masters heading to the finish line at the Sion Hill intersection.

However, on their return journey the Elites will turn at the Arnos Vale roundabout and head back to Orange Hill, before finishing at Sion Hill.
