Handal Roban showed his worth when he collected his second Big Ten Championships bronze medal by placing third in the 800 metres last Sunday, May 14, in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. His time was 1:47.59.

Competing for Penn State University, Roban reached the final, following his sixth place on the day prior in the preliminaries, when he timed 1:48.59.

Before pouching Sunday’s medal, Roban had claimed an indoor bronze in March, also in the 800 metres.

Then, his time was 1:47.28.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines all time 800 metres record holder, 20- year-old Roban’s latest form will serve him in good stead as he readies himself for international meets.
