Zefal Bailey was the lone Vincentian and among five cyclists from the English speaking Caribbean to finish at the Pan American Championships’ road race staged in Panama last Sunday, April 23.

Competing in the 204.8 kilometres (127.2 miles) event, Bailey placed 68th of the 75 finishers, clocking a time of 4:54.45.

He was 6.52 minutes behind the winner, Canada’s Pierre- Andre Cote, whose time was 4:47.53.

The other Vincentian cyclists- Cammie Adams, Lucky Antrobus and Marlon Antrobus, did not finish the race.

They were among the 30 cyclist who failed to complete the course.
