Sailing Association to host level one course for women

Sixteen female Vincentian sailors will benefit from a six-day Technical Level One coaching course.

Funded by World Sailing, the course will run from April 11-16, at the Blue Lagoon Marina and its Conference Room, a release from the SVG Swimming Association states.

The facilitator of the course will be Hannah Stodel, a four-time World Champion sailor, as well as a three- time Paralympian.

While here, Stodel who is British, will instruct the participants technical coaching at level one, race management, safety and club administration.

The level One Coaching Course is one of four available worldwide in recognition of the work Sailing associations do to encourage the involvement of women in the sport.

Looking forward to the hosting of the course, President of the SVG Sailing Association, Jenny Trumble said “ I have always been a strong advocate for girls and women in Sailing and I am excited to see Hannah again and I know how inspirational she will be for our ladies”.
