St Vincent Grammar School are 2023 Under-15 Secondary Schools’ cricket champions

The St. Vincent Grammar School defeated the Petit Bordel Secondary School at the Sion Hill Playing Field, in the final of the 2023 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Secondary Schools Under-15 Cricket Competition, to take the championship crown and a year’s bragging rights.

Replying to 134 all out made by the Petit Bordel Secondary School the St. Vincent Grammar School lost early wickets, but Zach Thomas, 55 and Alston Bobb jr 30 not out, steadied the ship to take them to victory, reaching 135 for 4; Zach Thomas being dismissed with just 4 runs remaining. The pair took full advantage of wayward leg-side bowling to score the bulk of the runs.
Bowling for the Petit Bordel Secondary School, Jeron Bowens took 3 for 1.

Earlier, the Petit Bordel Secondary School batting first, were all out for 134 with Ozoid Edward top scoring with 64.

Bowling for the St. Vincent Grammar School Jomain Ollivierre took 3 for 20, and Zach Thomas 2 for 35. Alston Bobb jr., was named most valuable player of the tournament.
