Petit Bordel, Grammar School clash in Under-15 final Cricket tomorrow

The Petit Bordel Secondary School and the St. Vincent Grammar School will meet in the final of the 2023 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Secondary Schools Under-15 Cricket Tournament, tomorrow, Wednesday March 8, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

This will be a rematch of a group stage game between the Grammar School and Petit Bordel Secondary, played earlier in the tournament.

The St. Vincent Grammar School booked their place in the final after defeating the defending champions North Union Secondary School by 10 runs at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex last Friday, March 3, in the tournament’s second semi-final.

Batting first, Grammar School scored 101 for 5 from 20 overs, while North Union Secondary replied with 91 for 3 from 20 overs. Joash Ellis top-scored with 28 for the Grammar School, and Zach Thomas chipped in with 26. Bowling for the North Union Secondary, Delroy Tittle took 2 for 25 from 4 overs.

In their reply batting for the North Union Secondary, Lorenzo Ellis scored 35; while bowling for the St. Vincent Grammar School, Joash Ellis took 2 for 7, and Zach Thomas took 1 for 9.

In the first semi-final of the 2023 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Secondary Schools Under-15 competition at the Sion Hill Playing Field on Wednesday, March 1, the unbeaten run of the George Stephens Senior Secondary school came to an end, courtesy a defeat by the Petit Bordel Secondary School.

Petit Bordel took to the crease first and made 136 for 8 off 21 overs, Ozoid Edwards top-scoring with 41, and Orico Matthews chipping in with 33.

Keshawn Hoyte took 4 for 25 from 5 overs, and Eljay Roban took 2 for 23 from 2 overs, bowling for George Stephens Secondary.

In their turn at the crease, George Stephens Secondary folded for 64 all out in 14.2 overs; the top-scorer being Keshawn Hoyte with 14.

Jeron Bowens took 4 for 22 from 5 overs, and Ozoid Edwards took 3 for 17 from 4, bowling for Petit Bordel Secondary School.
