Two to challenge Providence for Presidency of the Basketball Federation
Incumbent, Rohan Providence, will have Karel Bramble and Suzette Jackson as his opponents for the presidency of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation SVGBF).
The three will square off for the top post when the organisation holds its annual general meeting tomorrow Wednesday, March 1, from 5:00 p.m at Paradise Inn, Villa.
Providence is seeking another four year term, while Bramble will be looking to turn the tables on the current president.
Bramble unsuccessfully contested the position in 2019 receiving only two votes to Providence’s 15, while Wayne Williams got 11.
Williams, a former president of the SVGBF, this time around is vying for the post of general secretary, along with Gavin Forde and Winfield Tannis- Abbott.
There is a two- way race between Roy Hamilton and Tevin Bynoe for the position of treasurer, while Caliesha Waldron, Jada Peters and Hamilton are seeking to fill the post of assistant secretary/treasurer.
For each of the positions of first vice president, second vice president and third vice president there is a single nominee.
Winston Snagg has been nominated for the post of first vice president; Ramon Johnson as second vice president; and Lindell Tittle is the nominee for the post of third vice president.
