North Windward and Bequia XI stay perfect in First Division Cricket

NORTH WINDWARD Volcano and Keegan’s Bequia XI, stayed perfect after two rounds of First Division matches in the National Cricket Tournament with comfortable wins last Sunday, February 5.

North Windward Volcano, on familiar surroundings at the London Playing Field, defeated Police One by 188 runs.

Bolstering North Windward Volcano’s total of 326 all out from 41.5 overs, was Sealroy Williams who smashed 112, inclusive of 13 fours and 6 sixes. Razime Browne, chipped in with 37, and Andy Baptiste- 34. Bowling for Police One, Elmore Alexander had 5 for 83.

In response, Police One could muster only 138 all out from 16.2 overs.

Razine Browne picked up 4 for 47 and Denson Hoyte took 2 for 17 bowling for North Windward Volcano.

At the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, Bequia XI crushed Radcliffe Two by 346 runs.

Bequia XI posted 366 from 29.4 overs. Macdara De Roche amassed 78; Jenry Ollivierre made 59, Cosmus Hackshaw, 45 and Delroy Gregg scored 32.

Bowling for Radcliffe Two, Kyle Bobb grabbed 4 for 82;Webster Roban, 4 for 63; and Lawrence Ashton took 2 for 54.

Radcliffe Two, fielding seven players, responded with a humiliating 20 all out. Chelson Stowe snared 4 for 17 and Xavi John had 2 for 3.

And, Smashers defeated Strike Eagles by six wickets at the Stubbs Playing Field.

Strike Eagles chalked up 99 all out from 24 overs. Travis Cumberbatch took 4 for 17, while Kesworth Lewis, Norlan Williams and Courtney Joyette each took two wickets.

Smashers responded with 101 for 4 in 11.4 overs.

Two matches are scheduled for this Sunday, February 12.

Radcliffe Two and Strike Eagles play at the Park Hill Playing Field and at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, Bequia XI will oppose Smashers.
