Seven clubs in James Cordice/ X- Ceed pre-season relay classic

Seven Track and Field Clubs are expected to turn up at the Diamond Track tomorrow, Saturday, December 10, to vie for honours in the inaugural James Cordice/ X- Ceed Sports Club pre-season relay classic.

Registered for the anticipated action-packed event are High Performance, IT- DAT Academy, Mustangs, ROSES Academy, X- Cel Track Club and X- Ceed Sports Club.

The seven clubs will go head to head in the Distance Relay; 4 x 150m; 4 x 500m; 4 x 250m and the 4 x 300m.

The Distance Medley Relay and the 4 x 250m are open events, while the other relays are for both the Under-17 and open male and female athletes.

Tomorrow’s activities begin with a brief opening ceremony and ends with a Special Awards Ceremony.

A release from the organisers states that “ All races will be scratch except for the 4 x 150m where the first two (2) legs will be contested in assigned lanes, breaking at the 300m mark”.

Another of the rules of the pre- season relays is that in the Mix Relay, will be male, female, male and female in that order. These add to the one false start rule.
