Richmond Hill goes top of First Division standings

Richmond Hill used their familiarity and crowd support at the Richmond Hill Playing Field, last Sunday to come away 5-1 winners over Richland Park Pride and Joy, in Round Two of the First Division of the National Club Championships under the aegis of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.

The win put Richmond Hill on four points from two matches and top of the pile of the 12-team division.

Second to Richmond Hill is Camdonia – Chelsea, also on four points. The Campden Park-based Camdonia Chelsea registered a 2-1 victory over SV United at the Chili Playing Field, also on Sunday.

In other results on Sunday, Volcanoes and QCESCO Titans drew one goal apiece at the Campden Park Playing Field; while at the Brighton Playing Field, Glenside Ball Blazers edged out Bequia United 1-nil.

Also at the Brighton Playing Field, it was the same score-line as Sparta overcame Parkside Rollers one goal to nil.

And, at the Chili Playing Field, Owia United beat Greiggs 3-2.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, round five of the Second Division took place. Rocksdale recorded a 2-1 win over K&R Strikers at Campden Park to stay unbeaten.

Also, on Saturday, Green Hill defeated DESCO 4-1 at Richmond Hill; RSVG Police saw off Toni Stores Jugglers 5- nil at Brighton; Sharpes 09 and 1998 Hillside Rollers drew 3- all at Golden Grove; while Brownstown dismissed Sharpes FC 5-2 at Chili; and Strike Force beat Hill View 5-2 at Layou.
