Out Ah Trouble muscling Greiggs Softball cricket
Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble flexed their softball cricket muscles last Saturday at the Greiggs Central Playing Field as matches in the Caesar’s Real Estate/Hairoun Beer/Nar Fren Dem 20/20 competition continued.
Facing Hard Hitters, Out Ah Trouble softened them by amassing a massive 179 runs.
Stein Joseph with 76 led Out Ah Trouble to 231 for 6 from their 20 overs.
Travis Cumberbatch with figures of 4 for 11 and Kenron Williams 3 for 11, combined to dismiss Hard Hitters for 52 in 13 overs.
Then on Sunday, in the first encounter, Predators recorded a 30 run win over H &H Oral Dental Care Clinchers.
Predators batted first and compiled 164 all out from 17.1 overs, as Shyon Pope top scored with 66.
J-Var Cain took 3/19 and Leon Quashie took 3 for 40, bowling for Clinchers whose reply stopped at 134 all out in 18.3 overs.
Vincent Cupid top scored with 50. Following up his exploits with the bat, Shyon Pope picked off 3 for 11; Darren John took 3 for 17 and Isron Joseph had 3 for 31.
Next up, was Rasfarco versus Sion Hill Tallawahs. When the match ended, it was in favour of Tallawahs by seven wickets.
Rasfarco managed 69 all out from 13.3 overs, as their batters were undone by Denson Hoyte’s 4 for 15.
Dillon Douglas then smashed 59 to lead Tallawahs to 73 for 3 from just 4.4 overs. Kimron Baptiste grabbed 2 for 23 in the process.
And, Kombat Warriors won from Israel Bruce Smashers by eight wickets.
Smashers’ total of 117 all out from 16.2 overs, saw Renrick Peters making 29. Bowling for Kombat Warriors; Kerwin Browne scalped 5 for 12 and Dwayne Williams took 3 for 31.
Kombat Warriors replied with 118 for 2 in 12.2 overs. Kamari Williams made 55 and Oswald Soleyn, 33 not out. Drake Williams picked up 2 for 32.
