Blue Marlins trio medal at BASA Championships

Three of the nine swimmers who represented Blue Marlins at the May 27-29 Barbados Amateur Swimming Association’s (BASA) Invitational Championships staged at the Barbados Aquatic Centre, returned with medals in their grasp.

Leading the pack was Jadon Hamilton, who took gold in the 9 to 10 Boys 50m Butterfly, as well as silver in the 200m Individual Medley, the 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke.

But it was Hamilton’s bronze medal in the 50m Backstroke that earned him a new SVG record in the event.

Joining Hamilton on the medal table was Caghry Williams, who also competed in the 9 to 10 age group. Williams copped gold in the 50m Breaststroke and bronze medals in the 50m and 100m Freestyle.

And, Girls 9 to 10 competitor, Belle Adams won a silver medal in the 200m Freestyle, as Blue Marlins tallied 11 medals.

Completing the list of swimmers who competed for Blue Marlins at the championships were Job Baker, Saj Caesar, Taj Henry, Tru Matthias, Malique Mayers and Tayeah St Hillaire.
