Bailey receives COPACI Merit recognition

VINCENTIAN, TREVOR “ SAILOR” BAILEY has been recognized by the Pan American Cycling Federation (COPACI), at its Congress held in Argentina on May 16, 2022.

Bailey, is the president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union and the Caribbean Cycling Federation, hence is the Caribbean Zone’s representative on COPACI.

He was among 11 Cycling officials who were rewarded with the Order of Merit.

Bailey told SEARCHLIGHT that while he does not look for recognition he is grateful for the thought by the COPACI members.

Bailey has been involved in Cycling for over 50 years and has sat on the COPACI executive for the past 19 years.

Joining Bailey in being singled out for their input in the various regions were David Lappertient (France); Pierre Hutsebaut (Canada); Mauricio Vargas ( Colombia); Pedros Frias ( Cuba); Ramon Carretero ( Panama); Jose Luiz Vasconcellos (Brazil); along with Gabriel Curuchet, Juan Jose Chica and Sergio Unac ( Argentina).
