Windward Islands U-19 Women take 1-nil T20 Series lead over Trinidad and Tobago
Led by Captain Zaida James with 71 off 55 balls which included 12 fours, the Windward Islands Under-19 Women reached 122 for 6 in their 10 overs in game one at the Arnos Vale Playing Field of the 5-match Twenty20 Series against Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 Women.
No other batter reached double figures with extras contributing a healthy 28 to the total.
Bowling for Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 Women, Samara Ramnath took 3 for 11, Shalini Samaroo 1 for 12.
In response, Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 Women were dismissed for 92 in 16.5 overs with Samara Ramnath and Maria La Foucade each making 15, with KD Jazz Mitchell chipping in with 14.
Zaida James took 4 for 06, Selena Ross 3 for 22, Jannilea Glasgow 1 for 13, and Destiny Edward 1 for 29 as the Windward Islands Under-19 Women won by 30 runs, and took a 1-nil lead in the Series for the Browne-John/McIntyre Trophy.
