BMX cyclists get their shine

BMX cyclists, who would often use the bicycles for fun and frolicking, were last Saturday given an opportunity to show their wares on the runway of the decommissioned E.T Joshua Airport.

This as the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union hosted a BMX festival, which was essentially a two -race event.

Winning race one was Nelson Mc Lean who timed 3:48; ahead of Cody Simmons- 3:50 in second place and Skyrey Bailey, whose time was 3:57.

Race two saw Asroy Brereton taking the first place in 3:28, with Mc Lean docking in second with a time of 3: 34.

Taking the third spot was Melchi Smith, who stopped the clock at 3: 45.

All were presented with medals for their efforts.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union, says it plans to have these cyclists more engaged as it unfolds its 2022 calendar.
