THE WINDWARD ISLANDS Volcanoes will open their campaign on February 7, at the Coolidge Cricket Ground against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes, as the 2021 CG Insurance Regional Super-50 gets going. The opening day fixture of the tournament begins at 9 a.m.

The Volcanoes’ second match, a day/night affair, versus the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, is set for February 13, bowling off at 1:30 p.m. at the Coolidge Cricket Ground. Then on February 16, the Windwards Volcanoes face off against the Jamaica Scorpions from 1:30 p..m, also at the CCG.

On February 18, the Volcanoes meet the Barbados Pride at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium and return to that venue on the 22nd, to oppose the Guyana Jaguars. Both Volcanoes matches at the Stadium are day matches, bowling off at 9 a.m.

The four top teams from the preliminary round will advance to the semi-finals, with the two winners going forth to the grand finale.

Meanwhile the fifth and sixth places will oppose each other in a play-off.

The Volcanoes last week announced a 15-member team, which is being led by Vincentian Sunil Ambris.

The Windward Islands Volcanoes last won the Super-s50 title in 2018.
