Zidane Sam tops premiership goal scoring

Zidane Sam did not leave his goal-scoring boots in Greiggs, but walked with it at every venue his team played in the premier division of the 2019/2020 national club championships, staged by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.

Sam ended the championships with 21 goals, scoring almost half of his team’s tally. Greiggs totalled 45 goals.

Scoring four fewer than Sam was Erel Hector of Avenues United, while Dequan Spring had 12 goals to his name. Spring represented dethroned champions BESCO-Pastures.

Meanwhile, three players all tied on 11 goals each. They were Sion Hill’s Seaqeam Millington, Valdo Anderson of Hope International and Diel Spring of North Leeward Predators.

And, Cleon Westfield – North Leeward Predators;, Kevin Samuel – Hope International and Jante James of System Three, all scored ten goals apiece.

The premier division of the championships concluded last Sunday.
