Vincy Heat wants an assistant coach

St Vincent and the Grenadines senior men’s team Vincy Heat, is seeking to have the position of assistant coach filled.

The prospective candidates, who have until this Thursday, February 6, to submit their applications to the secretariat of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF), must be at least a Certified D Licence coach or possess a higher qualification.

Additionally, candidates must be computer literate, as well as being an active coach and the holder of a driver’s licence.

The position of Vincy Heat’s assistant coach became vacant after Michael Harris resigned last December.

Harris, an Englishman, served as assistant to head coach Kendale Mercury.

Both Harris and Mercury were part of a technical shake-up, which the SVGFF engineered in December, 2018.

Harris then, replaced Wesley Charles, while Mercury took over from Cornelius Huggins.

Charles is now the head coach of the male Under-20 outfit and Huggins, the senior women’s head coach.

Vincy Heat will meet Guadeloupe on March 26 in Guadeloupe, with the return leg set for March 31, here at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Vincy Heat is seeking to overcome Guadeloupe, to get a crack at a qualification to the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Should they beat the French team, they will will have Haiti as their final hurdle in June.
