SVGCC, Bequia XI add wins in national first division cricket
FRENCH VERANDAH SVG Community College (SVGCC) and Keegan’s Bequia XI, made it two wins from two matches, in week two of the National Lotteries Authority First Division last Sunday.
The SVGCC beat Police One by nine runs at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.
Tilron Harry stroked 71 and Rayshone Durrant-67, as the SVGCC scored 246 all out.
Donson Andrews bagged 5/ 66 and Parnel Browne 3 / 30, bowling for Police One.
Vertil Davis 71 and Parnel Browne 58, revived Police One’s innings, as they were 3/3, but were unable to cross the line, and were dismissed for 237.
Meanwhile, at the Buccament Bay Playing Field, Bequia XI beat Victors Two by 51 runs.
Bequia XI made 162 all out; Olanzo Lavia- 48. Kishore Shallow had 5/17 and Ian Allen- 3/27, for Victors Two.
Jenry Ollivierre then snared 5 /15, for Bequia XI as Victors Two was shot out for 111.
On home soil at the Cumberland Playing Field, Carlos James MSDA Julius Anthony Northern Stars, had a four wicket win over Coreas Distribution Belfongo.
Renrick Williams hit 50 and Andre Hunte 44, to see Belfongo to 169 all out in 29.1 overs. Maxwell Edwards picked off 6/37.
Northern Stars’ reply was 170 /6 in 28.5 overs. Mcleon Williams 45, Newborn Joseph 33 and Allison Samuel 24 not out.
There were also wins for North Windward Combine and North Windward.
At the London Playing Field, North Windward Combine registered a 74 runs win over Radcliffe Two.
North Windward Combine made 126 all out in 22.4 , Shem Browne – 41. Davian Barnum took 3/ 37.
Radcliffe Two, replied with 52 all out. Twin Brothers Kerwin Williams 3/ 4 and Erwin Williams 3/ 10.
And, North Windward cruised past Strike Eagles by 80 runs at Stubbs.
North Windward scored 176 all out in 22.4 overs. Mickron Mc Donald hit 49.
Tyson Richards 3 / 16 and Chris Humphery 3/ 35, were Strike Eagles’ main wicket takers.
Strike Eagles – 96 in 22.3 overs. Kevin Peters led with 43, while Jernoth Brackin bagged 5/ 17.
This Sunday SVG Community College meets Strike Eagles at the Stubbs Playing Field; Belfongo take on Victors Two at Arnos Vale Two; with Vee Jay’s Roof Top and Bar North Windward coming up against St. Vincent Distillers Glamorgan at London, and Smashers facing Police One at the Buccament Playing Field.
