NLA Premier Division top prize to double

The team winning the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division of the national cricket tournament is in line to receive double the prize money that the winner did in 2019.
This means that the first prize moves from $5000 to $10,000.

This was one one the major announcements made when the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. hosted its Annual General Meeting on December 21, at the President’s Suite at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.

Other development

Apart from the increased first prize money for the Premier Division, the women’s 40-over competition would make provisions to have 13 players per team, but with 11 being able to bat, and 11 also allowed to field.

During the 2020 national cricket programme, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. will host eight competitions: the NLA Premier Division, the NLA First Division, the National Club Championships, the NLA Neil Williams 20/20, the women’s 40 over, the women’s 20/20, the Zonal Under-15, as well as the secondary schools’ Under-15 competition.

In the 2019 edition, FLOW Rivals won the NLA Premier Division and the NLA Neil Williams 20/20, while Police Two took the National Championships title and MSDA Jules Anthony Northern Stars, the NLA First Division.

United Survivors won the women’s 40-over title; JG Tigress – the women’s 20/20, while North Central Windward pouched the Zonal Under-15 crown and the St Vincent Grammar School- the secondary schools’ Under-15.
