Three teams register wins in Biabou 20/20
Jackson Trading One Team, Nice Radio Clinchers and Bank of SVG All Stars, all registered wins last weekend in the Biabou 20/20 softball cricket competition at the Biabou Playing Field.
On Saturday, One Team defeated Caesar’s Real Estate Nar Fren Dem by five wickets, in a match reduced to 15 overs per side, because of a late start.
Jamol John, who scored 41 and Ozandie Baptiste, 37, saw Nar Fren Dem to 135 for 6 from their 15 overs.
Bowling for One Team, Roneke James took 2 for 20 and Enrique Daniel, 2 for 24.
One Team in reply, scored 136 for 5 from 13.3 overs, with Lass Haywod scoring 57 and Darie Peters, 43.
Ozandie Baptiste had 2 for 19 and Wayne Garraway, 2 for 21, in a losing cause for Nar Fren Dem.
Also on Saturday, Clinchers beat Just for the Fun by eight wickets, in another 15-over affair.
Just For the Fun made 73 for 6 from their 15 overs, with Javid Baptiste making 23.
Okeeto Williams took 2 for 20, while Donaldson Fergus had 2 for 11 and Oheyon Toby, 2 for 23, bowling for Clinchers.
Okeiph Andrews then stroked 45, to see Clinchers to 78 for 2 in 8.2 overs.
And, on Sunday, All Stars registered a seven-wicket win over Dr Thomas Injectors.
Keroy Roberts topscored with 22 in Dr Thomas Injectors’ total of 88 all out from 18.4 overs.
Glenroy Dascent grabbed 4 for 3 and Kelique Samuel, 3 for 19, bowling for All Stars, who replied was 90 for 3 from 9.3 overs.
Keyon Boyea struck 40 and Kodi Horne, 24, while Rokeem Roberts took 2 for 21, bowling for Dr Thomas Injectors.
