Outa Trouble, Sion Hill Tallawahs repeat TBPO softball cricket final

As was the case in 2018, Country Meet Town Outa Trouble and Sion Hill Tallawahs, will contest the final of this year’s National Lotteries Authority TBPO softball cricket competition.

The two earned the rematch, following their wins last Sunday in the semi-finals, at the competition venue, the Dauphine Playing Field.

Defending champions Outa Trouble ousted Gairy’s Construction Simple Boys by 20 runs.

Saski Weekes stroked 47 and Wesrick Strough, 25, as Outa Trouble posted 139 for 8 from their 20 overs.

Bowling for Simple Boys, Adolph Adams snapped up 2 for 17 and Asbourne Franklyn, 2 for 25.

Simple Boys in response, made 119 for 7 from their 2 overs. Sunil Jams picked up 2 for 22, bowling for Outa Trouble.

Meanwhile, Sion Hill Tallawahs defeated Challengers by four wickets.

Challengers scored 82 all out from 15.5 overs, as Alex Roberts took 3 for 16, Omarie Sutherland, 2 for 7 and Shamic Roberts, 2 for 14, were Sion Hill Tallawahs’ main wicket-takers.

In response, Sion Hill Tallawahs reached 84 for 6 in 15.3 overs, with Denson Hoyte making 28.

Ronike James was Challengers most successful bowler, taking 3 for 10.

The final is set for this Saturday, bowling off at 12:30 p.m., with Challengers and Simple Boys meeting at 3 p.m., in the third place play-off.

The presentation and closing ceremony is set for Sunday, following the ball o rama competition.
