Four athletes will represent St Vincent and the Grenadines at the North American, Central Americana and Caribbean (NACAC) age group championships set for San Salvador, El Salvador, July 26- 27.
Diara Bascombe of the Stephanie Browne Primary School – Union Island, is the lone representative in the females Under-13.
Riah Henson of the Barrouallie Secondary School competes in the females Under-15 and the St Vincent Grammar School’s pair of Cody Barthley and Keanu Child are in the male Under-15 age group.
Rawlson Morgan is the team’s coach and La Rissa John, the manager/ chaperone.
The NACAC age group championships is a multi-event championships.
Athletes in the Under-13 will compete in the 60-metre dash, 800 metres (females), 1,000 metres (males), Long Jump, High Jump and Baseball Throw.
The 80 metre dash, 1,000 metres (females), 1,200 metres (males), 60 metre hurdles ( females), 80 metre hurdles (males), Long Jump, High Jump, Baseball Throw and Shot Put, are the events listed for the Under-15 athletes.
