Mbeki King hits century in West St George schools’ cricket

MBEKI KING struck the first century of the KFC West St. George Primary Schools T20 Cricket Competition, last Sunday at the Belair Playing Field.

King scored 104 not out and Luke Browne, 56 not out, to propel Coreas Distributions Gomea Methodist to 191 without loss off 16 overs.

Allan’s Bakery Sion Hill were dismissed for 44 off 10 overs. Jada Hazell took 4 for 7, Castle Woods, 2 for 13 and Jeremy Martin, 2 for 17.

The big win by Gomea Methodist came after they had lost out to KPMG Belmont Government School by 22 runs on Saturday.

Belmont scored 167 for

8 off 15 overs, with Fire Gordon stroking 76. Bowling for Gomea Methodist, Jada Hazell grabbed 4 for 17.

Gomea Methodist’s reply was 145 for 3 off 15 overs, Mbeki King hit 67 not out.

Also on Saturday, Sion Hill Government School defeated LOG Enterprises Dorsetshire Hill by 23 runs.

Sion Hill made 108 for 3 from 15 overs. Ezekiel Ashton had 2 for 23.

Dorsetshire Hill Government replied with 85 all out off 13 overs. Ezekiel Ashton topscored with 21.

Devon Franquois, who

grabbed 4 for 18 and David Butler, 2 for 21, were the successful bowlers for Sion Hill.

Today’s match pits Belmont Government School versus Dorsetshire Hill Government.
