Drawn matches highlight premier division cricket’s weekend
There were two drawn matches in the National Lotteries Authority Premier division of the national cricket programme, on the weekend.
At Arnos Vale One, Rickford Walker slammed 96, Salvan Browne, 33 and Desron Maloney, 30, as Police Two posted 217 all out against Guardian General Saints.
Jeremy Haywood had 5 for 25 and Jeremy Layne, 2 for 18.
Saints responded with 188 for 8, as rain affected Sunday’s play. Sunil Ambris scored 77 and Jeremy Haywood, 36, led Saints’ batting.
For Police Two, Darius Martin snared 4 for 33.
At Sion Hill, FLOW Radcliffe took first innings honours over defending champions Victors One.
Deron Greaves scored 80 and Gidron Pope, 46, which saw Radcliffe to 193 all out in 37 overs.
Alston Bobb grabbed 4 for 54.
Victors One scored 121. Miles Bascombe made 27, as Othniel Lewis had 4 for 44 and Asif Hooper, 3 for 11.
Batting a second time, Radcliffe scored 104 all out. Romano Pierre hit 29.
For Victors One, Kimson Dalzell took 4 for 35, Alston Bobb, 3 for 20 and Solomon Bascombe, 2 for 43.
Victors One was 114 for 7 at the close, in search of 177 to win.
Tijourn Pope had 2 for 23 and Othniel Lewis, 2 for 48.
Another two matches are scheduled for this weekend.
At Park Hill, Team Rivals meet New Haven Funeral Home North Windward Youths, and at Sion Hill, Victors One faces Guardian General Saints.
