United Survivors register double wins in womenʼs 40–over
UNITED SURVIVORS had a double win last weekend in the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. women’s 40 over competition .
On Saturday, at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, United Survivors had a 104 run win over Attackers Girls.
Affected by rain, United Survivors romped to 162/2 from their 17 overs; Cordel Jack- 46 and Shavorne Clarke- 44.
Attackers’ response was 58/9 from 17 overs. Bowling for United Survivors, Alison Antoine grabbed 4/21 and Shema Wright had 3 for 4.
Then on Sunday, United Survivors overwhelmed Radcliffe Girls by 10 wickets at the Stubbs Playing Field.
Radcliffe Girls – 71 all out from 17.3 overs; Kendicia Barker – 23. Shema Wright had 3/21 Kimone Homer – 31 led United Survivors to 72 without loss from 3.3 overs.
Also on Saturday, JG Tigress and Super Strikers were triumphant.
Tigress beat Jules Anthony Northern Girls by 109 runs at the Buccament Bay Playing Field.
Samantha Cain – 39 and Zavian Stephens – 34 helped Tigress to 198 all out from 29 overs Sueann Matthews and Venola Samuel took 3/22 and 3/35, respectively.
Northern Girls – 90 all out; Shannel Mc Kie – 29 and Sueann Matthews 26.
Rochelle John was the pick of Tigress’ bowlers, taking 5/22.
And, at the Stubbs Playing Field, Super Strikers defeated Radcliffe Girls by nine wickets.
Radcliffe Girls – 50 all out from 10.1 overs; Super Strikers – 51/1 in 4 overs.
Matches set for this Saturday pit United Survivors against Northern Girls at Buccament; Attackers Girls and Radcliffe Girls play at Arnos Vale Two and at the Park Hill Playing Field, JG Tigress faces Super Strikers.
Matches are set to bowl off at 12:30pm.
