Siblings win national junior tennis titles

THE BROTHER AND sister duo of Afi Lucas and Afe Lucas won singles titles in the junior segment of the National Open Tennis Championships, which ended last Saturday at the National Tennis Centre at Villa.

Afe Lucas topped the girls’ Under-12 with Scarlet Hadley, second.

Meanwhile, Afe’s older brother Afi bossed the boys Under-14, ahead of Che Connell.

Afe was also the runner– up in the boys Under-18, only bettered by Richand Hoyte.

Winning the boys Under- 10 was Angelo Morgan, who beat Zachary Mc Lawrence 4-2 in the final.

In the other side of the gender, Sarah Foster, who reports say has been playing tennis just under a month, left Hannah Archibald to settle or the runner-up position.

Che Connell emerged the winner of the boys Under-12, with Angelo Morgan second.

And, taking the girls’ Under-18, was Myka Williams. The runner-up in this age group was Christine Veira
