SVGTTA appoints new sub-committee

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association (SVGTTA) has appointed new sub-committees. The sub-committees will aid the association in developing the newcomers’ skills, enhance the technical delivery of table tennis skills, and put together activities to prepare individuals for competitions locally and regionally. The association is continuing its quest to get table tennis to the youth, as they are the key to continued growth in the association.

The members of the Technical Committee are – Khalique Bailey (Chairman), Joseph Carrington and Carlton Daniel.

Selection Committee – Khalique Bailey (Chairman), Unica Velox and Joseph Carrington and the Tournament Committee – Desmond Shallow (Chairman), Bob Ballantyne, Romano Spencer and Terrance Marksman.
The SVGTTA has also endorsed table tennis academies throughout the island, with lots more coming on stream.

Nixon Louis – Mountain View Academy table tennis program – 12 active players (Location – MVAA secondary school)

Sean Stanley – Sean Stanley Academy – 18 active players (location – West St. George Secondary School)

Philcol Jeffers – Philcol Jeffers Academy – 10 active players (Location – Layou)

Khalique Bailey, Romano Spencer and Bob Ballantyne Avesco Academy – 12 active players

Rodney Caruth – Rodney Caruth Academy – 52 active players (Location – Bequia)

Carlton Daniel – Carlton Daniel Academy – 25 active players (Location – Georgetown Secondary School, Sandy Bay Primary)
