St Hillaire heads into finals of Guinness Black Ball Pool competition

For the third consecutive year, Ozzie St Hillaire has made it into the finals of the Guinness Black Ball Pool competition.

St Hillaire, always a force to be reckoned with in the competition, fought his way through a field of 43 players during the third leg of the tournament, which was held last week Friday, February 17, at Nani Bellingy’s Bar in Pembroke.

St Hillaire beat Tex Franklyn in the final game of the night. By winning, St Hillaire, who hails from McKies Hill, received EC$500 and a chance to play in the finals for EC$5,000.

The fourth leg of the competition will be held at the Police Canteen (Kingstown) this Friday, February 24, while the fifth leg will be held at South Beach (Barrouallie) on Friday, March 3rd. The sixth leg is slated for Skyline Bar (Bequia) on Saturday, March 11 and the seventh leg for Over the River Grocery (Sandy Bay) on Friday, March 17. The eighth leg is scheduled for Azard St Hill Bar (Troumaca) on Saturday, March 25.

The competition is the brainchild of the St Vincent Brewery Limited and is being supervised by the Brewery’s trade marketer Cleve “Skip” McKenzie.
