Year One DASGS pop SVGCC basketball’s top spot

Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies Shooters came away victors of the Quick Cash Corp SVG Community College’s inter divisional championships, as they held off Year Two Tech Ballers in the final yesterday at the Villa Campus courts. Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies Shooters led 11-0, 24-12, 36-17 before completing the 52-40 win.

Marcus Thomas bucketed 15 points for the Shooters, while Kirsty Bailey added 13. Sachin James sunk a game high 24 points for Year Two Tech Ballers.

In the presentation that followed, Lennox Ince was adjudged the MVP of Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies Pacers; John Compton Jr – MVP of Year One Tech Hornets; Sachin James – MVP of Year Two Tech Ballers; and Marcus Thomas – MVP of the eventual winners, Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies Shooters.

Also rewarded were Jadez Alexander of Year Two Tech Ballers, who for the second year running, took the award for the Best Defensive Player, while Kirsta Bailey of Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies Shooters, was the catch of the day, as he was adjudged the MVP of the Tournament.
