Inter-community League Football titles decided

The 2016/2017 Inter-community League Football titles were all decided last weekend at the Victoria Park.

On Saturday, South Leeward got the better of Layou, to win the Under-10 bracket.

South Leeward’s goals came from Yassif Williams, who hit two and Essien Baptiste – one. Getting on the score sheet for Layou was Larzaro Lynch.

East Kingstown blanked North Windward 4-0 to take the Under-14 title.

A brace each from Shayne Lynch and Malik Ferdinand answered the call for East Kingstown.

Then, on Sunday, a single strike from Shelly Browne handed West Kingstown the female title, dethroning South Leeward in the final.

North Windward copped the Under-18 title, stopping Layou in the showdown.

Jadan Jacobs scored both items for North Windward, while Leon Wickham Jr registered for Layou.

And Layou took the Seniors title, trampling North Windward 3-0. Teron Miller, Myron Samuel and Jalene Miller all scored for Layou.(RT)
