New SVGSA executive installed, with similar faces
A new executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association (SVGSA) was installed last Saturday at the associationâs Annual General Meeting, which took place at the National Squash Centre in Paulâs Avenue.
Holding their positions were James Bentick, who was returned as president, Dominic Ross â vice-president and Sherian Slater â treasurer.
Also retained were Anne Miller â secretary, Jason Doyle â junior playersâ representative and Janine Doyle, one of two committee members.
Not new to serving, Kevin Hannaway returned to the post of public relations officer after a one-year break, while that function was in the hands of Othneil Bailey.
Meanwhile, Hannaway now has an assistant public relations officer in Jason Doyle.
And, the executive is complete with Shaunelle Mc Kenzie, who joins Janine Doyle as the other committee member.
Part of the executiveâs immediate mandate is to put plans in motion to host the 25th edition of the senior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championships in August.
St Vincent and the Grenadines last hosted the regional championships seven years ago.
Trinidad and Tobago, as host in 2016, won the overall title, disrupting Barbados from completing the hat-trick, having won in 2014 and 2015.(RT)
